Tour Alsace stage 3
Since we had two very busy days now I’m not so much up to date on my homepage anymore.
I’ll try to sum up the last three stages now.
The third stage of the Tour Alsace was in terms of the profile divided in a false flat part and a tottaly flat part. We also entered my training area for the first time.
After 70 kilometers of total war, a group finally went clear with seven riders. Since the leaders team Endura was not too interested in closing the gap, they rode in the front, but just because they had the responsibility to do so.
After 100 K’s we decided to pull for our sprinter Giorgio for closing the gap which by then has risen to 5:40. 60 Kilometers to go and three riders – later four - against by than six riders was unfortunatly not a victoriouse fight...
We closed the gap down to 18 seconds on the finishline and lost this stage victory opportunity.
I finished the race about 10 minutes after the winner because I was totally empty when we reached the 10K mark.
