Dippach

The regional race in Dippach was not to big of a satisfaction for my team as I was hoping. OK, the guys already told me before the start of the race, that it wont be so funny because everybody is looking at us. But still, I thought, we could manage to show our power at the right time and will than still be able to win against the 13 guys of the other luxembourgish Continental Team Differdange.
The 12 laps had enough moments in which I had to go the fullest. One point was when Differdange started to do a sidewind circulation and I got a puncture.
I rode my bike as long as possible but unfortunately Markus – our DS – had drawn car number 14. We changed the wheel and I did my best to get back into the peloton again.
To bad, my absence was just the moment when the field split in four groups... This happened 5 laps before the finish. Pit luckily was in the first group, Joel in the second and me and Alex managed to at least be in the third. This was the situation almost untill the end of the race.
Pit came in on ninth place and with a big power effort I was able to jump into the second group in the last lap and went also for the sprint in this group which I won for beeing 13th. At least I had this proof of my strength in sprinting...
